Naotaka KIMIZUKA

Dr. Naotaka Kimizuka is a professor at Kanto Gakuin University. He was born in Tokyo in 1967. After graduating from the College of Arts at Rikkyo University, he spent time as a foreign student at the University of Oxford, before completing his graduate studies at Sophia University’s Graduate School of Humanities, where he received a PhD in history. He specializes in British political and diplomatic history. Among his many published books are Rikken kunshusei no genzai — Nihonjin wa shocho tenno iji dekiru ka (The Constitutional Monarchy Today — Can the Japanese Really Preserve a “Symbolic Emperor?”), which was published by Shincho Sensho and awarded the Suntory Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities. He also wrote a biography of Queen Victoria.
