On June 14, Their Majesties Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako watched a FIFA World Cup group-stage match between Japan and the Netherlands with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima. They watched the match on television at Het Oude Loo Castle, where they are staying during their state visit.
Selfie With the King
The Dutch royal household released two photos the same day. One shows the Emperor and Empress wearing scarves in support of the Japanese team, standing with the King and Queen, who wore scarves supporting the Dutch team. The other is a selfie taken by King Willem-Alexander with Emperor Naruhito.

According to the Imperial Household Agency, the visit was arranged at the request of the Dutch side.
