Masataka Maeda

Masataka Maeda is the Chief Writer and Market Journalist, for Market Essential LLC. Completing courses at the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo, he joined Nikkei Inc after graduation. He worked as a staff writer mainly in the Capital Market and Corporate News Department before being assigned as Senior Staff Writer. Maeda's experience includes stints as a correspondent at the Washington DC Bureau in the United States, and as Senior Economist at Japan Center for Economic Research. After retiring from Nikkei, He set up a small LLC with his wife and sold market information through various channels. In addition to monthly magazines aimed at the accounting and M&A, his books about financial markets include, Nidec, Masataka Maeda, investors, Code of Civil Procedure, Tokyo Stock Exchange.
