Dr Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi living in Canada. She completed her Bachelor and Master degrees in International Relations at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, before earning her PhD at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Currently she is a senior research fellow particularly focused on strategic affairs, security studies, and foreign policy of South Asian countries at the South Asian Studies program at the University of Toronto, Canada.
