US Ambassador to Japan George Glass

Ambassador George Glass was confirmed as US Ambassador to Japan in April 2025, following his service as Ambassador to Portugal from 2017 to 2021. A businessman with a background in finance, investment banking, and technology, he has held leadership roles at firms including Pacific Crest Securities. Glass is a graduate of the University of Oregon.
