As autumn deepens, the fall foliage in Kyoto's Arashiyama district has reached its peak, attracting large crowds of visitors.

At Tenryu-ji Temple, a World Heritage site in Kyoto's Ukyo Ward, maple trees lining the walkways and gardens have turned brilliant shades of red. Visitors stroll through the temple grounds, admiring the scenery and taking photos.

Mountain View

Yuki Shibahara, a civil servant visiting from Kyoto's Nakagyo Ward, said, "The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. A garden framed by the mountains of Arashiyama is a view you can only experience here." The foliage is expected to remain at its best until around the beginning of December.
