Tokyo Disneyland kicked off its parade, "New Year's Greeting," on January 1. The special event will run through January 12.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and other Disney characters appear in traditional Japanese attire, while New Year–themed floats and vehicles parade through the park. A marching band in colorful costumes adds to the festive atmosphere as visitors celebrate the arrival of 2026.

A Special Way to Start the Year
At the entrance to World Bazaar, a traditional New Year kadomatsu decoration is on display, featuring Donald Duck and Horace Horsecollar from the short film "The Band Concert." The display was created to mark the zodiac animal for 2026, the horse.

Rina Inoue, 28, who visited the park on New Year's Day with a friend from Kanagawa Prefecture, said, "If my schedule allows, I come on January 1 every year."
