COCONA, a member of the hip-hop and R&B group XG, has been appointed a brand ambassador for Gucci.
Known for her commanding stage presence, refined expressiveness, and distinctive style, COCONA has won international recognition.
She has built a strong profile across both music and fashion, and Gucci said it expects her to bring fresh energy to the brand as it continues its ongoing evolution.
Ambassador Role and Tour Plans
As a brand ambassador, COCONA is expected to take part in a range of Gucci events and initiatives going forward.
Commenting on the appointment, she said Gucci's approach, "valuing tradition and history while continuing to evolve with the times," has long been a source of inspiration. "It's a true honor to be named a Gucci brand ambassador," she said. "As I work with Gucci going forward, I want to bring its vision to the world in a fresh and meaningful way."
XG released its first full-length album, THE CORE – Kaku, on January 23, drawing attention both in Japan and overseas. The group just kicked off its second world tour, XG WORLD TOUR: THE CORE, on February 6.
COCONA turned 20 in December 2025 and disclosed in an Instagram post that she is "AFAB transmasculine non-binary," AFAB meaning "assigned female at birth." She said she underwent chest-removal surgery earlier in 2025. As XG's global profile rises, attention is also turning to COCONA's activities outside the group.
