JAPAN Forward's editorial team is growing! We seek a Japanese to English translator, with a love for translating news and editorial content. As a Content Translator, you’ll play an important role in relaying the JAPAN Forward message and create a global discussion on breaking news and current trends in Japan. You’ll support the efforts of our news editorial team by translating essential, high-visibility content.
Responsibilities
Translate key articles ranging from politics, culture & society, diplomacy & security and other verticals, from JAPAN Forward's extensive content network.
Review translated content as needed.
Requirements
Show us some of your previous work.
Minimum of 2 years of professional JA>EN translation and review/editing experience.
Detail-oriented, with a passion for linguistic quality.
Outstanding communicator, articulate, fluid conversationalist.
Experience with WordPress, Google Docs, and basic web publishing process.
Video and audio localization experience are a plus.
Business level English. Japanese or other language is a plus.
Deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for news and entertainment. Knowledge of Japanese currents trends and politics is a plus.
