Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is smashing records worldwide, already surpassing Spirited Away in Japan with over 55 million global admissions.

Box office figures have been released for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Infinity Castle. The film premiered in Japan on July 18 before rolling out to international markets in August.

In North America, where the film opened on September 12, it set a new benchmark for Japanese animation. 

With 6,008,511 admissions and $70.6 million USD in revenue, it delivered the strongest opening ever for a Japanese animated feature, surpassing the 1999 record set by Pokémon: The First Movie.

Beyond North America, Demon Slayer is continuing to rewrite cinema records across global markets.

At home in Japan, the film has been a box office juggernaut. Within 60 days of release, it drew 23,042,671 admissions and earned $228 million (approximately ¥33.06 billion JPY). This surpasses Spirited Away, making it the second-highest-grossing film in the nation's history after Demon Slayer: Mugen Train.

As of September 15, net global attendance, including Japan, stands at 55,004,375, with cumulative revenue reaching $469 million worldwide.

The film follows Tanjiro Kamado and the Demon Slayer Corps' final confrontation with the dark forces, and serves as the opening chapter of the Infinity Castle trilogy.
