Eikando Zenrin-ji Temple in Kyoto is famous for its stunning autumn foliage and special nighttime illuminations. A test lighting was held on November 7 ahead of the official event, which begins on the 15th. About 3,000 maple trees, including Iroha, Yamamomiji, and Omomiji, were illuminated by roughly 700 lights across the temple grounds. Head Priest Shinko Tominaga said, "This year, we arranged the lights to brighten even the farthest corners of the garden, giving it a slightly different look than usual."
