About Editor in Chief Yasuo Naito
Yasuo Naito is editor in chief of JAPAN Forward and an expert advisor of the Sankei Shimbun. He served as Sankei’s London Bureau chief correspondent (May 2012 - December 2015), Moscow Bureau chief correspondent (February 2003 - July 2009) and Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies, George Washington University (July 2001 - August 2002). Mr Naito won the 2015 Foreign Press Association’s Media Award "Story of the Year by a Full Member of the FPA" in London for his stories on the reconciliation and friendship between a British sailor and the family of a kamikaze pilot. With his international experience and a deep understanding of Japanese politics, culture, and society, he brings valuable insights and perspectives to your inbox.
