Jeremy Black, MBE, is British historian, lecturer and prolific author. The former Professor of History at Exeter University has written over 100 books. Many concern aspects of eighteenth century British, European and American political, diplomatic and military history but he has also published on the history of the press, cartography, warfare, culture and on the nature and uses of history itself. He is author of "A Short History of War" (Yale University Press, 2021), "Geopolitics and the Quest for Dominance" (Indiana University Press, 2015) and "The World of James Bond. The Lives and Times of 007" (Rowman and Littlefield, 2017), among others.
