Keiko Chino

Keiko CHINO is a guest columnist of the Sankei Shimbun and a Freelance journalist. A Yokohama native, she is a graduate of Waseda University in Tokyo. She joined The Sankei Shimbun, in 1967. Throughout her career, she has served in various positions including New York Bureau Chief, International News Editor, Singapore Bureau Chief, Chief Editorial Writer and Columnist of the Sankei Shimbun. In 1997 she received the Vaughn-Ueda International Award for reporting Southeast Asian Affairs. In addition to "Katsushika Hokusai," her recent books include "Solving the mystery of 9/30 Coup in Indonesia" and "The end of Postwar International Order. All are in Japanese.
