Jay Alabaster is an adjunct professor at Waseda University, Hitotsubashi University, and Chuo University. He is a reporter and scholar focused on media and cultural issues surrounding the whaling issue in Japan. He currently lives in Taiji, Japan, where he is working on a book and his dissertation.
