Tokyu Corporation and JR Central unveiled the interior of their luxurious sightseeing train, THE ROYAL EXPRESS, to the press on November 3. This exclusive train offers passengers a four-day, three-night journey through Shizuoka Prefecture, showcasing the region's natural beauty, cuisine, and traditional culture surrounding Mount Fuji. It is scheduled to operate six times between November 8 and December.

A Sensory Journey
During the press preview, the train traveled a two-hour segment from Numazu Station to Kikugawa Station, part of its full route. Passengers can enjoy scenic views of Suruga Bay and Mount Fuji from the stylish, wood-accented interior.

Traditional Suruga lacquered geta (wooden clogs) are also on display and available for purchase, offering a unique glimpse into Shizuoka's cultural heritage.

Regional Delicacies
Onboard dining highlights Shizuoka's regional specialties, including Kyosui unagi — a rare eel from the renowned Unamasa restaurant in Hamamatsu — and sakura shrimp from Suruga Bay.
The journey begins and ends at Yokohama Station and is priced at ¥750,000 JPY (approximately $4,860 USD) per person. Tickets sold out quickly, with demand double the available spots.
