Almost Exact Replica

The micro-cube is made of aluminum and weighs approximately 0.3 grams, with each side measuring around 5 millimeters. It was developed in collaboration with Iriso Precision, a metal processing manufacturer located in Saitama Prefecture.

The internal parts almost perfectly replicate the structure of a traditional Rubik's Cube, allowing the pieces to rotate.

Guinness World Record

Earlier, on August 23, a prototype of the micro-cube, with each side measuring 4.9 millimeters, was certified by Guinness World Records as the world's smallest rotating puzzle cube.

Pre-orders for the micro-cube began on October 3 on the official Bandai Namco Group online shop, "Premium Bandai." The selling price is ¥777,777 JPY (approximately $5,200 USD).

The Rubik's Cube was developed by Hungarian sculptor Ernő Rubik in 1974. It was released in Japan in 1980 and continues to enjoy enduring popularity.
