"My goal is to keep my jockey title. Because when you are on top, you need to do your best to stay on top," Lemaire said.
"Here in Japan, it's kind of a social link to play golf. You play with the owners, with the trainers, with the jockeys," Lemaire said.
The son of American Pharoah, the 2015 American Triple Crown winner, won the year's first Japan Racing Association Grade I race.
